The Chiefs will give Melvin Gordon a Super Bowl ring.

In 2022, Melvin Gordon had a great season.

Gordon was a free agent in March and most of April, but no team signed him. Just before the NFL draft, he signed a cheap one-year deal with the Denver Broncos.

Gordon started the season as a backup to Javonte Williams. In the team’s first four games, he lost the ball four times. Even though he lost the ball, Gordon started the next six games after Williams got hurt and the season was over.

Gordon lost the ball for the fifth time in Week 10. That was his last game with the Broncos. The next day, Denver let him go, and Gordon ended up joining the Kansas City Chiefs’ practice squad.

Gordon didn’t play in any regular season or playoff games with the Chiefs this year, but after KC beat the Philadelphia Eagles 38-35 on Sunday, Gordon is now in line to get a Super Bowl ring.

Gordon tweeted a picture of himself with the trophy on Sunday night.

When the Chiefs won Super Bowl LIV in 2019, they gave practice squad players rings. It seems likely that they will do the same for Super Bowl LVII this year.

Gordon is now set to leave the team in March and become a free agent. His final numbers with Kansas City were 0 games, 0 yards rushing, and 1 Super Bowl ring.
